A funny thing happened yesterday I met up with a friend from high school. She is a Dr. of Education. I always knew she
would be great at whatever she did. It has been years and we visited for a while in her office.
Finally the conversation turned to the fact I am a preacher.
She was intrigued and as I told her all the wonderful things God has done and how
this ministry has grown. I realized how God has walked with me on this road. In reflection today I see God
subtlety reminding me of His call and His time and of His favor. Some days I wonder if I'm really doing what God
wants. Then He reminds me with His still soft voice of how far He has brought me. I guess He will always
need to remind me. I thank Him for friends from long ago.

Christmas 2009
Its funny how much time we spend getting ready for Christmas. We hustle and bustle around looking for the right gifts for those on our list. How much impact would we have on those on our list if we focused that intently on finding Christ in the midst of our day. We find the Christ child so wonderful and totally non-thretning, but when Christ comes to age and ask to be Lord we find every excuse possible to go other directions. How are you finding Christ this Christmas? A child in a manger or the King of Kings. What is this Christmas going to be for you? Will you worship the holiday and miss the One to worship? I caution you to look for the Christ of Christmas and not the season of missing the reason.
Blessings, Greg
